Hello everyone.
I'm trying to create a section in the backlog in a Kanban project, but the only way I can see is creating a status and putting it in a column in the kanban board, as you can see in the screenshot, is there any other way?
Such as the backlog and pending refinement create other?
Hi @Mario Amaya,
It depends what you mean by a section.
If you mean a container to put in issues that are not in the backlog AND not on the actual board, the answer is no, that is not possible. You have the kanban backlog there and the ongoing work, nothing else. If that is what you need, you can mock that behviour using a scrum board. This has sprints, normally used to define iterations with a fixed length, but they can be used as sections if that is what you think you need.
Before jumping to conclusions too quickly, do ask yourself why you believe you need additional sections and what you would want to use them for. There may be different approaches to organising your work entirely ...
Hope this helps!
Hi Mario,
There is no way to add a section to the backlog user interface.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

The way we have addressed this is to create a backlog issue using a descriptive name as a Summary. For example a spike called "*********** GROMMED TO HERE *************" or "*********** FRESH ISSUES **************" best that we have come up with
