Does anyone know how to convert the current board (blank project) to a project management board? Currently, the board I created is blank because it’s the first time I’ve created a board in Jira. As the UI/Design team, we want to have a backlog where we can list possible enhancements for the future.
Hi Jonathan - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Boards are just displays of the data that you have. Though the board was created when you created a "blank" project, it is not a "blank" board, it's just a board.
Now, the question is whether it is a Business project or a Software project.
If it is a Business project, then the board is built in and there is little to do to change that. I suspect this is what it is because it was probably created under "Work management".
The next question is whether it is a Team-managed or Company-managed project. I suspect Team-managed because that is the default and is hidden as such when you create new projects.
So, you might want to create a second board that does what you want. Here are more details and guidance for you:

Hello, Good day. Does your current project have issues created already? If yes, then you can create a new scrum project with the board. On the new scrum board you could modify the board JQL query to refer to the blank project (existing one), this way you can list the issues on the blank project on a scrum board backlog. Thanks

Thank you! I will give this one a try. We don't have any issues with it; however, in our team, we have managed various designs—not just for software but also for marketing purposes. Our consultant wants our board to adopt the same project approach as other teams and align it with developer's board to track their work with our proposed enhancement etc.
