Component creation

When you create a new component in a project one can give it a name and description. I would like to add more informatino in different fields. Is it possible to add more fields or substitute the description field to a custom field with several fileds within?

there is a really nice plugin written by Jamie thatlet's you add key/value pairs to entities in JIRA. Please check http://blogs.onresolve.com/?p=126

Not sure if it's possible for Components but give it a try

Thanks, I looked at it. Maybe I can use it in the future for other purposes. In this case we concluded that we skip trying to add properties to a component and try with an other solution for the problem we have.
