Cloud JIRA slow and sometimes errors out

I have an Agile board with 45 issues that groups together 4 projects and a backlog of about 238 issues. When click on an issue in by board it takes forever to load and sometimes it errors out with a message "Cannot connect to this issue". We're not hosting, we just use the cloud offering, what can I do to make this faster? Super frustrating experience, especially when we're in the middle of a retrospective or a planning and it stops the flow of our conversation.
