Client access to JIra report/dashboard only

Shawn Aslam May 24, 2017

For prodcution support purpose we're going to integrate JSD, somehow our client insisting us to give somesort of view to show the release planning of the projects somehting like status due date or UAT date etc. Obviously we dont want them to access Software but is there any way we can show them report/dashboard widget where they can just view the data but cant drill and dont able to look other stuff.

I'm afraid "customers" only get portal access.  That's the interface for them to raise and track their requests.

There's no dashboarding or reporting in that - it's built to be a help-desk type interface.

If you want them to use dashboards, then you will need to allow them into JIRA as standard JIRA core users.  That does include "anonymous" of course, which means "support"'s answer is correct, but you will also have to make all the data available to those users, or it won't appear.

Essentially, for this case, you need to make your projects readable by the group "anyone" (don't allow any form of update)

Hi Shawn

you can create Dashboard with some gadgets (pls note not all will work due to permissions restrictions) and then make this dashboard available for non logged users. In this dashboard use gadgets which will be linked with some custom JQL's which you will use to show client progress and releases calendar maybe

We tried but not able to get the data of the porjects where users are not permitted. It seems the only way is to create porjects and give access only to those users and then create issue there to give them data. But this way it will be double effort to cerate issue here as well.

Any feedback is appreciated.
