Classic Project/View Issue: Popup Vs SideBar

In the midst of all the JIRA updates and beta products that I've tried, it seems that I lost the popout view for issues on my classic projects (its now showing as a sidebar panel)

I followed the instruction of a previous thread I came across which suggested turning off JIRA Labs but that just changed certain components within the sidebar view. 

How can i return to the older setting? This is a classic project.

I hope you are having a nice day.

Actually, the pop-up view you are mentioned only applies to Business projects (JIRA) and can not be changed.

For Software projects, it uses the sidebar view where you can configure the old and the new issue view.

That been said, please double-check if you are using a JIRA Core or JIRA Software project.

If the information above is not applicable for you, please provide us more screenshots and details so we can further investigate it.
