Child option to be made mandatory

This is really an urgent request from us.

Please let me know whether this issue has been resolved.

Since we need to do apply it urgently to one of the project in JIRA 4.3.4.

When we select a value from the parent option for the cascading field in JIRA(This is the 2 level buitin JIRA cascade field ), can the child value be also made mandatory.

Since when we make the field mandatory, child values remain optional. Please advise.
