Hey!
I remember in the "old" JIRA there was nicely presented on the Board a relation between a task and its subtasks.
In the new one, when a Child issue is added, it is not visible on the Board at all :(. Also, it is not possible to search for a specific Child issue there.
Would it be possible to improve this?
We would appreciate it very much :)
Thanks a lot for the answer!
It is absurd that sub-tasks (child issues) aren't visible on the board. This is a perfect use case for failed tests for example, or related bugs. Not being able to see them on the board makes this useless.
Really disappointed by this. Next-Gen jira just decided to regress itself. :-(

Until this ticket gets resolved we can use "Group by" button and select "sub-task" from it.
After this, the board will include the non-subtask tickets too.

This is good, but is there any way to display the subtasks, while also grouping by Assignee?

Hello @magdalena.misiak
Currently you can't see sub-tasks in the planning mode (backlog) of the Scrum board.
Here's the open ticket about it.

Hi Magdalena,
you can see sub-tasks on boards nowadays too. Is your board filter maybe not including sub-tasks as well? Could you specify what you mean by "nicely presented"? :) It looks like this on server:

Hey Max!
Thank you so much for the answer.
You are correct, I cannot filter by sub-task on Board nor or Backlog.
Is there an option to add this type somehow? :)
For now, we can only find a subtask by going into parent task (which is very time consuming).
Thanks a lot!

"Nicely presented" - I mean:
On the Board, tasks were divided into:
1. Parent task and under it we saw:
- sub-task (could be TODO),
- sub-task (could be IN PROGRESS),
- sub-task (could be DONE).
2. We could have always hidden the "Parent task" or reveal it by clicking on the arrow next to the task title.
This structure was very cool, we liked it :)
