Can I restrict access to the service desk and knowledge base by white listing IP addresses

I want to enable cusotmers to access the knowledge base, but forcing them to remember another UN and PW is not realistic. I want to just put a link in my application that opens the portal. But, only by using the link in my application can someone access the portal.

Where you able to figure out a solution to this? Im wondering if your networking team would be able to restrict traffic to this app if its hosted on a server.
