Can I flag a sub-task of a story?

Want to flag a sub-task for a story because it is blocked. Do I need to Flag the story or can I flag just the sub-task?

The flag feature is nothing but a custom field that receives a value ("Impediment") and it adds a red flag to the issue in the board view.

That been said, the answer is yes! You can add flags to a sub-task issue without needing to add it to its parents.

To do it in the backlog view, find the parent of the sub-task issue and click on it. Then, click in the sub-task at the right panel opened (detail view) and click in Add Flag:

To do it in the active Sprint view, you just need to right-click in the sub-task card > Add flag:
