When using the "Apply Template" function.

I have an epic with tasks in my project template repository

I used that template to create a project in another JIRA project B

I updated the original template in the project repository to add tasks to my epic

I want to update the previously mentioned project in JIRA project B to pick up those new tasks.

I can get updates applied to the epic details/description, but apply template does not add the new tasks to my project B.

Is this a configuration setting I need to enable somewhere to work?

Hi @Lee Ann Macerelli

Welcome to the community.

No this is not an option.

If you have a template project and use this to create other projects and then update the initial template, you will need to update the previous created projects by hand.

Changes made on fields, like default description will come over a that is a field that is globally used.

But the number of issues linked to an Epic will need to be added manually.
