All users unable to access project boards but can access backlog

Phil Bergner November 15, 2024

Overnight we're no longer able to access any boards for our project. Someone may have changed something obviously but I'm struggling to track down what changed. We're still able to access the backlog and issues directly.

Opening any project board presents the message:

"You don't have permission to access this board based on its filter. To access this board, update the filter's owner and permissions."

I've tried:
- creating new boards with new filters
- ensuring board filters are set to fully visible

I'm still getting the same message. It looks like it might be impacting all the company-managed software projects as well.

Any next steps I should try?

Hi @Phil Bergner

Check the audit log on changes and check the are their groups missing from the global permissions:

  • Share Dashboard and filters

Nope, wasn't that. Also learned that we can't actually create new issues for the project either. It give a generic unable to create issue message.
