Adding my own cutsom filed in the default creeate issue screen in Jira

Hello,

I want to add a select list in the default crerate issue screen. Is that possible? Or if not it is possible to add a new issuetype, copy all the fields and screens from the custom "built in" issuetype and add a select list as in add field?

Can someone please explain how I do this? I have allready managed to copy the default jira workflow into my own and I have added a new issuetype, but I am not sure whwre to go from there.

Fields and workflows are separate things (you can tie them together, but you still maintain them independently)

Forget the workflow for now. Go to the "screen scheme" and work out which "screen" is in use for the create process (you can assign different screens for edit, view and create). Then add the field to that.
