I've created a custom field

If I just tick the box to add it to the relevant screen will it then show up on all my projects?

Hey @Natalie Keane

Thanks for reaching out to the community.

For the custom field to appear across all projects, you need to set it to a global context. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you:

  1. Set the Custom Field to Global Context:

    • Navigate to the custom field configuration in your Jira settings.
    • Ensure that the custom field is set to a global context. This means it will be available for all projects and issue types.
  2. Add the Custom Field to Screens:

    • After setting the global context, make sure the custom field is added to the necessary screens. This step is crucial because even with a global context, the field must be associated with the screens where you want it to appear. You can refer to this article for more detials.
