Add a custom code gadget on Jira Dashboard

I want to collect the avg spent time on each status for a set of issues. 

I tried all gadgets in the Jira dashboard already but didn't find one existing gadget to do it.

I'm curious whether we can define a custom gadget, running some code, calling Jira Rest API to do this?

Native Jira dashboards might be limiting when trying to pull custom data. That's why we created the Dashboard Hub Pro app.
