Is it possible to configure JIRA directories to automatically add all the LDAP users into jira-users group automatically?

This should include the existing LDAP users in JIRA as well.

I posted this on Atlassian Support.

This is possible with a feature called "Copying Users on First Login" that is available for JIRA 4.3.4 and above. With this feature, you can add LDAP users to specific groups automatically, as and when they login.

Is there any specific reason why you want to do this? Have you considered giving permissions to LDAP groups instead?

Hi Jobin,

Thank you for your response.

One of our clients requires this, they want to be able to change user-details from JIRA. I guess they want to add transparency to user management in JIRA.
