I'm trying to setup the JIRA for HipChat integration (https://blog.hipchat.com/2016/08/29/jira-hipchat-now-even-better-together/). JIRA is self-hosted on my servers, while HipChat is hosted in the cloud.
Everything goes swimmingly and JIRA is showing all green ("Connected to HipChat"). However... when I click the Configure tab under the HipChat Integration an iframe (http://jira.xxxx.com/secure/ConfigureInHipChat.jspa?signed_request=<hidden>&xdmhost=https://xxxx.hipchat.com) appears showing my JIRA install but I'm greeted with the below message.
I'm accessing the URL as a JIRA administrator who is in every group
Where do I even start looking to figure out why I'm getting Access Denied?
It seems that you have tried to perform an operation which you are not permitted to perform.
If you think this message is wrong, please contact your JIRA administrators.
Hello Kieran, I'm not entirely sure but it may be related to JIRA permissions.
Please check: Integration with collaboration tools and Configuring JIRA with HipChat.
Also, be sure to check the compatibility between versions (JIRA and HipChat).
I hope this helps.
