Hi all,
we have setup 2 Jira Scrum Boards in the same project. Both use the same filter.
We created sprint1 in Board1, and the sprint started fine.
Now we created sprint2 in Board2, but there is no option to start the sprint. Also, sprint1 from Board1 shows in the board, which I think is expected.
I have admin permission in both boards.
How can I start sprint2 on Board2?
Thanks!
Hi @anne_gerten ,
since both boards use the same filter, sprints are not exclusive to one board. Sprint 1 from Board 1 is also visible on Board 2, and vice versa.
Jira does not allow two active sprints in the same project on the same filter unless the sprints are in different boards with unique filters.
Please have a look at this article:
What is the usecase for your 2 Scrum boards?
Hi @anne_gerten
is the parallel sprints setting activated in your instance?

No parallel sprints. We don't want to enable that.
It should be possible though to have one active sprint per board without parallel sprints, per my understanding.

Thats true. Can you share some screenshots from your backlog please?

Backlog would be exactly the same for both boards, since same filter is used. Anything in particular you want to know about the backlog?

Have any issues already been assigned to the sprint you are trying to start?
