I appreciate the work done so that I can collapse the ribbons at the top and get more horizontal space, it's great. Thank you to you and your team Roi.

Hey @Jana_Kyselova - there are no milestones per se in Advanced Roadmaps. There are releases - and their colour is now represented as blue (when on-track, red when off-track)
As others have suggested, this view can be very useful, but it can also be A LOT, which is why we're having trouble getting adoption for use cases that Advanced Roadmaps is designed to solve.
The Jira issue hierarchy is great for organizing within Jira, but since the Advanced Roadmaps view is the only place we can currently see and group by the full hierarchy, the hierarchy itself isn't living up to its full potential usefulness. I'm currently syncing to sheets and doing work to reconstruct the different levels based on parent link all so we can simply have a cleaner view of multiple levels of the hierarchy.
As others have suggested in the comments:
Sometimes we want the editable table functionality here more than the timeline view, so it'd be great to be able to collapse that and build the "table" out without it. +1
Being able to hide the Xs would do a lot for readability when you want to consume information more than edit it. Maybe the X would reappear when you clicked on a cell to edit it. +1
However, the number one feature my team wants is the ability to export or display this Roadmap View to a clean, clear format that we can share with stakeholders - even if that's a PDF export.
Wishlist for an export/display view: No Xs or dropdown arrows on fields, no create button, wrap text on issue summary, specified time frame to display on timeline view, ability to show at least short text fields.
I want to revert back to the previous view as i have to move across from left to the right of the window to make changes in views or filters. is there a way to move back?

Hey
Thanks so much for all the detailed and helpful feedback.
I'm a lead researcher within the Advanced Roadmaps team. We are running some discussion groups next week and would like to invite those who mentioned simplifying the view, specifically the timeline view. @Kendall Totten@Shogbamu 'Sean' Oluwaseun@Robin Silander@John Price
- We’d love to explore simplifying the timeline view and your needs relating to team-of-team reporting and insights.
- It's a 90-minute informal discussion session where we will share some prototypes for feedback, and you can meet some Advanced Roadmaps users.
- We offer a thank-you gift for your participation too.
- If you'd like to register to participate, please use this link.
Any questions you are welcome to contact me directly, Natalie Rowland: nrowland@atlassian.com
@Roi Fine - Is there any future plan to add a holidays/ non working days to the Gantt view? For example, we would like to have the option to view the weekend days grayed out.

Hey @Etai Leers - Thank you for sharing your need for this feature.
It's not in our immediate plans but this is an area of interest we're considering down the pipeline. Defining holidays and having visual context of those holidays is a capability we're interested in providing.
While not something we're working on now, I'd be interested to get your feedback on some of the direction we've considered. As our resource planning in AR is at the Team-level, our thinking around this capability would be to define the holiday that impacts the team (whether it's everyone impacted or just 1 person) so it is visible in context in the roadmap. How severely that event impacts the team (e.g whether it's 1 or 5 team members impacted) would be manually limited for the sprint + team via this setting:
We would be interested in your thoughts on this and whether it could meet your needs.
Weekends are secondary and under consideration as part of this too. Some design exploration has revealed that greying out the weekend doesn't scale well on a long-term view. Would it work for you if weekends were only visualised when looking at a small timeframe (weeks or a couple of months)?
Regarding the capability to define the holiday that impacts the team (whether it's everyone impacted or just 1 person) - I think that's a very good direction because of 2 reasons:
Some teams works in New York and some teams work in Tel Aviv - there are different holidays and also different weekend days (Friday-Saturday Vs. Saturday-Sunday). So its good to define it in the Team level.
The team capacity is effected by individuals - its better for the Scrum master, Team leader and PM to define the capacity per person in the pre-planning meeting. The reason is that someone can take some days off, someone else can be on a maternity vacation. So it will be nice to have the option to insert capacity per team member and then maybe to sum Up the capacities per skills (Backend / Frontend / QA ..).
Would it work for you if weekends were only visualized when looking at a small timeframe -YES that will be good enough.
What are the differences between Timeline, Basic Roadmaps and Advanced Roadmaps in terms of their availability, capacities, capabilities, and facilities needed for their operations by small and average teams?
Advanced Roadmaps is only available only on cloud, or we could deploy it on our prems as well - and why?
Hi! Please see screen. When I add an issue as work item into the schedule, it does not search it for an existing card, which may cause duplication of issues.
@Natalie Rowland Is there any way in the settings or to add such feature so that it searches from the existing tickets while typing?
Also, if the "Sprints" title is moved to the left side of its column, that would be much more useful because the epics below the tile are not sprints.
In the new design, is it possible to click on an issue hyperlink and have a detailed view sidebar open instead of opening the issue in a new browser window?
