Unfortunately there is no application, that I know, that can be used for capacity planning today. You can assign issues to teams and set team base available time, but you can not manage time on an individual from a planning perspective, or get an overview of all time related to an individual when they work in multiple projects.

The best you can get is time management, which comes after capacity planning and only down at a very low level (team level).

It is possible that Align have some capabilities, but since you can't get your hands on that to test, I can't really tell.


Atlassian need capacity planning, but they choose to remove that from advanced roadmaps rather than expand on a very important need that exist from their clients. I do hope that they will look into that, especially with their focus on SAFe that is a management methodology.
