How do I link related Jira Software Project in the summary view

How to link Related Projects in JWM.jpg

How can I get other projects into this summary view. there is no button or menu I can see that will allow it. I have even linked an epic from a JSM project and it still shows nowhere.  Help!  I want to used this as a way to manage a program with multiple Software projects underneath it, but doesn't seem possible even though the summary shows it and the main info page shows it. See screen shots provided.

I would also love to know an answer on this. It seems really strange for there to be this new feature of related projects with no clear way of actually saying which projects are related. Surely there should be a button or link to show this.

I would also like to know the answer to this. Thank you for the insights in advance 🙏

Hi Crystal,

The Summary view is going to be unique to that JWM project. I believe the last image you posted would be from and Advanced Roadmap plan where you can show a plan based on multiple projects. Outside of that, you would probably need some type of add-on.

And, by the way, Advanced Roadmaps are only available with a Premium Jira subscription.

According to this page:

  • Other projects (soon to become Related projects) - easily view and access other Jira projects (Software, Service Management and/or Business projects), which you have worked on over the last 30 days. This tile will be enhanced in the upcoming weeks to display related projects which any of the project team members have worked on.

  • A related project is a project where a user from your current project has been active in the last 30 days (respecting project permissions). To be active in a project, the user must have performed at least one action - mainly create/edit/change an issue/task.

But it seems that it's not working as expected yet.

We have a migration with dependencies on multiple projects. I tried by linking issues between projects but can't see a related project in the summary. Not sure how is this works... but would love to see the related projects in the summary.

Have you considered creating a dashboard? This is the most common means of showing multiple projects under one screen.
