project configurator and upgrade

Hi Friends,

We are in the middle of upgradation , I mean dev env upgraded and QA and prod we are working on.  so but we have some projects which are ready to move production can we migrate projects from dev to QA. In this case, the dev is using 7.6.9  version and QA and PRod is using 7.3.3. wil i face any problems.

@Surender Reddy If you want to use Project Configurator to move projects from your DEV JIRA to QA or Prod JIRA, you must have all JIRA instances (along with all add-ons, especially the add-ons that provide custom fields) on the same versions. Otherwise, you should definitely expect some migration issues.

 

Please refer this page in the Project Configurator documentation for pre-requisites/limitations before migrating complete JIRA projects from one JIRA instance to another:

Hi! 

 

Could you clarify what is the reason use 3rd party for migrate project configuration into production? 

Also, you can try configuration manager for this action, because on Project configurator  

you can meet this errors

If your project on DEV environment will promote into prod you can meet with related problem. Just keep in your mind. Please, scroll up the link content
