Hi @Padmasree P,

in general, expired apps continue to work if vendors stick to this developer guideline.

When you buy an app, you also buy maintenance for one year. This maintenance includes access to support and allows you to use all versions of this app released within this year.

Versions released after your maintenance end date will not be usable with an expired license.

However, this might vary from app to app.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hi @Padmasree P,

You can try to read the help documentation for this plugin to see if its features are still in effect in the current system.

@Matthias Gaiser _K15t_'s reply is accurate

If it is a trial version of the plugin, it will expire after it expires.
If it is a plug-in that is officially purchased, it will not be allowed to update to the new version after it expires, but the previous version can still be used.

Hi @Matthias Gaiser _K15t_ & @Ollie Guan,

Does the same stand true in case of plugins for Jira Cloud?

Hi @Sohail Khurshid

no, for Jira Cloud (and Data Center), it is different. As long as you have a valid subscription, you can keep using all features of the app.

If you don't have an active subscription anymore, it's up to the specific app what they still want to allow but most vendors stop the main functionalities of their apps, maybe allowing you to still export e.g. your configuration or similar.
