Hi @Rajesh Ramankutty,

That's definitely possible. The best option would indeed be to go for a synchronization app.

We are the developers of the Exalate Issue Sync app, Alexey mentioned.

You'll be able to synchronize any issue data of one of your instances to the others.

This will happen in real-time. That way, you'll always be in the loop on progress status, comments, attachments and even work-logs or change history.

You'll be able to easily customize exactly what you'd like to sync and who you'd like to sync it with.

Like the following example.

If you want, I can show you exactly how it would work for your use case through a one-on-one demo. You can book one here: Book A Demo.

Let me know!

Cheers,
Stefaan

P.S.: thx for mentioning our app @Alexey Matveev

Hello,

There are a couple of add-ons, which can help you.

For example, Project Configurator or Configuration Manager. This add-on let you move configuration and issues from one Jira instance to another.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211147/project-configurator-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211611/configuration-manager-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview

Or you can use Exalate or Backbone Issue add-ons. These add-ons can synchronize issues in real time:

Hi @Rajesh Ramankutty,

Would you like to synchronize issues between those Jira instances? If so, like Alexey mentioned, Backbone may be a good fit for your use case (just a heads up, I work for K15t Software, the creator of Backbone).

After Backbone is installed on both your JIRA instances, you can set up a synchronization between specific projects in those instances. You have full control on the scope of the synchronization, as Backbone allows you to define which issue types and which fields should be kept in sync and how they should be synchronized.

Via the Atlassian Marketplace you can generate a free 30-day trial license which should give you enough time to check if Backbone might be a good fit here.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions or want to discuss your use case more in detail.

Cheers, Tom
