While creating new Issue - can the components dropdown suggest components by description?

Hi Community,

we are currently using JIRA v7.0.10. When creating an new issue, we can choose from a large number of components, which all have a description set.

Is it possible, to not only have the dropdown box suggest matching component names, but also matching component descriptions with a full-text search?

Hi Henrik, 

You wont be able to see the description from the dropdown list you can only search by component name in this location.  To see the component description you need to view the projects component page.
