On the old documentation page for jira-python 0.31, there is a changelog:

https://jira-python.readthedocs.org/en/latest/

The most recent entry is:

2014-09-09 Added automatic release note creation.

However, on the newer documentation, there is no changelog or release notes link.

http://jira.readthedocs.org/en/latest/

Given that it constantly nags me to upgrade to the latest version*, it would be very useful to know whether there are any breaking changes (as there have been previously) before I make the upgrade.

Hi Kim,

The jira-python url is outdated and may not work anymore or redirect to the short one.

Please remember the JIRA Python library is purely open-source with no commercial interest behind. This means that sometimes if you want something fixed you may have to do it yourself.

I am more than welcome to accept pull requests and even of adding permanent contributors to the project.
