When cloning a test case, how do I ensure the 'Reporter' fields stays as the original creator?

When cloning a test case, how do I ensure the 'Reporter' fields stays as the original creator, and does not default to the individual cloning the test case?

On the 'Permissions Scheme' part of Jira, the 'Modify Reporter' shows as Project Administrators only.  If this was edited to , say, 'Any logged in users', etc. would this mean any test case cloned would show the reporter as the original creator?

Thanks

Hi @Adam Burns

Yes … It means ,if you have MODIFY REPORTER permissions, when you clone the Ticket it should be with original Reporter only(it doesn't change). If you don't have the permissions then you will be the Reporter for the Cloned ticket

Currently, as per Cloning Issue documentation, if the user who has cloned the issue wants to be the reporter of the cloned issue, he shouldn't have the Modify Reporter permission. Otherwise, the Cloned issue will be reported by the original reported of the original issue.

In some scenarios, the user wants to be able to have the Modify the Reporter permissions as well as have the ability to be the reporter of the cloned issue.

It will be great if that was possible to accommodate for such scenarios.
