Unimpeding a linked issue - JWT

 Hi,

Probably been asked a hundred times already but...  How do I unimpede a linked task when the blocked task is complete using Jira Workflow Toolbox?

Example:

Task1 is linked to and blocks Task2
Task2 is marked as Impeded

Task1 is marked as Done, Closed, etc.

Task2 ideally should automatically move from Impeded to Open/In Progress etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

if you are simply using the link type (blocks, blocked by) then there is no need to change nor should you really. The fact that the the blocking issue is closed should tell the assignee that they can/should proceed. Now if you have a status in a workflow that is used to convey the issue IMPEDED And you want to automate the transition from IMPEDED to some other status when the blocking issue is DONE then that is different and I would suggest something like Scriptrunner or Jira automation addon.

Great, thanks for the reply Jack, I want this to be an automatic process for the assignee as much as possible so there is no potential break in flow of work.  I'll check these out.  Thanks.
