Hi Atlassian Community,
I'm new to Jira and I'm using it as a project management tool to a big project.
While adding tasks to the to do list I would like to be able to add subtasks to it.
I.e. Task: buy a car.
Subtasks: 1. research online; 2. visit shops; 3. compare models etc.
How can add sub tasks to a broad task, please?
Right now the only options showing is to add to epic which doesn't fit the purpose of what I'm aiming to achieve. Please, see image attached.
Regards,
Aline
Hi @Aline Machado,
Can you see the button below?
If you are using a next-generation project, it is currently not supported to create subtasks.
Hi @Ollie Guan
Thanks for the reply!
No, this is not available as I'm using the next-generation project.
Maybe the next best option is to create Epics and than have issues connected to it...
Cheers

I am having the same problem using the next-gen project setup.
Will have to recreate the project using classic JIRA unless someone has a solution ?

I am also having same issue with sub-task on next-gen jira.
If you find sub-task solutions for next-gen please let me know.
