Dear Jira Experts,
So I have created Issue X and add a sub-task Y (now Y is an issue and is a child of X). And I give the link to Y to my co-worker.
How can my co-worker find the parent issue of Y, that is, X, in Y's issue description?
Thanks!
Kevin
If you are looking at the sub-task, the breadcrumb at the top of the issue (immediately above the Summary) will contain links to both the issue itself as well as its parent, including the issue key of the parent.
It will not show up in the Description of the issue unless you manually add it.
If you are looking at the parent, there will be a 'Sub-tasks' section that shows all of the children of that parent.
Dear Jira Experts,
Below is the screenshot of the sub-task. Please show it to me where is the part that can show Parent ID?
Thanks!
Kevin

I guess the question is whether you mean Issue ID or Issue Key.
For the Issue Key, you've blanked it out, but it's literally right above the Summary ("This is a sub-task....")
If you're looking for the ID, that's just something that is in the database, but has no real value otherwise.

Your co-worker when he opens the Y, it should lists the linked issues in that section.
Hope this helps.
