Hi,
Is there an option/approach in jira to show/hide a custom field(s) depending on another custom field selected value. i was going thru different articles about javascript/behaviour plugins/script runner but i am not sure from where to start..is there any documentation available or i can refer to any articles/posts?
regards,
Suresh
You can do it with Power Scripts or ScriptRunner addons.
In Power Scripts you can use Live Fields. You can find more info here:
https://confluence.cprime.io/display/TR/Show+custom+message+field+based+on+select+list+value
In ScriptRunner you can use behaviour. You can find more info here:

From what I can tell this not possible in Cloud. It would be an amazing and logical feature. Sadly Atlassian has pushed this aside to add-ons
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-41352
appears to be the only solution for Cloud and it does not work on Server
As our company evaluates moving away from self hosted to cloud it is sad to see this major issue still effects many in the community and we will likely need to configure this twice or delay it till we move away from Self Hosted.
