SSO Between Atlassian Products Works Only When You Login to Each Product

SSO between Jira, Confluence, FishEye and Crucible works only when I login to each product individually on first use. If I open a browser and log into Jira only, Confluence avatars do not display. If I browse to Confluence or FishEye from Jira after logged in, I will be forced to log into the other product. If I then browse back to Jira, I am forced to log in again. If I open multiple tabs and log in to each product, browsing between them is a non-issue. Am I missing something in the SSO configuration or am I fighting a browser and/or cookie issue?

It sounds like you might be facing an issue where the act of logging into one Atlassian product is overwriting your cookie for the other.   I would recommend taking a closer look at this KB: Logging into another Atlassian application logs me out of Confluence

It provides a couple of different possible ways to get past this problem.
