Running Jira & Confluence begin AWS ALB

Palash Sinha November 29, 2019

I am trying to run Jira (port 8080) and Confluence (Port 8090) on a single server in AWS internal VPC network. The certificate is installed on the AWS Application load balancer.

The ALB setup is as follows:

Port 80 redirect to Port 443 (within the ALB)

Https Port  443 -> Target Group 80 (Apache to direct back to https)

Https Port 8080 - Target Group 8080

Https Port 8090 - Target Group 8090

The problem is that at times certain links within jira still gets pointed port 8080. Certain gadgets also dont load as well.  Can you please advice.

@Palash Sinha

When Gadgets name display incorrectly it is definitely a Certificate Issue.

  • Was the Cert issued by a CA?
  • Is there a particular reason you have Jira and Confluence on the same server?
  • What error do you see on Jira logs?

Best,
