Restrict 'Fix Version/s' to a single version - JIRA 8.2.2

Esme Rue April 21, 2020

Hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to limit a Jira Issue to have only ONE Fix Version? This would prevent users from adding multiple Fix Version(s) to an issue.

I am on a Jira Server v8.2.2. I know that Jira Cloud has the ability add  "Field has single value Validator" for fix version, under validators.

Thanks,

Esmé

Hi Esme,

you really can't do this OOTB. Now you might look at Behaviors in Scriptrunner if you have that as it might give you what you need but if memory serves (don't currently use Scriptrunner) there were limitations since there are multiple places that the FV can be set.

Hi Esme,

JMWE for Server has the same validator, with additional conditional validation. See here for the validator documentation https://innovalog.atlassian.net/wiki/x/hQAbB. Check your instance if you have JMWE and you can configure it just the way you do in Cloud.

Regards,

Radhika
