I have installed JIRA and have 20 days to go before the eval copy expires. I need to move to another host asap and would like to know how that can be done.
It's quite easy!
In summary.....
Take the installer you downloaded and install Jira on the new server, requesting a new evaluation licence. Set up a basic blank install & make sure it's running. If you've done lots of cutomization you might want to ZIP up the current directory and move it across. If you do this you will need to keep the directories the same or change the config files (log4j, jira.application.properties)
In the original server, do an XML backup and copy this file across to the new server & upload again. If you've been using attachments you'll also need to bring these across
