Hi @anette.modee

Accessing someone else's project typically requires being a member of that project.

However, there are a few other considerations and requirements to ensure proper access:

Project permissions:

Even if you are a member of the project, you may not have access to all features or actions within the project. Project permissions determine what actions users can perform within the project, such as creating issues, editing issues, transitioning workflow statuses, etc. Make sure that your permissions within the project allow you to perform the actions you need.

Issue Security level:

Issue-level security settings may restrict access to specific issues within the project based on certain criteria (e.g., security levels, issue-level permissions). Even if you are a member of the project, you may not have access to certain issues if they are restricted by issue-level security settings.

Application access and group membership, project invitations, by ensuring that you meet these requirements and considerations, you can effectively access and collaborate within someone else's project in Jira.

Hi @anette.modee welcome to the community.   There are a number of things that could be considered other then just adding you to a project.  Are there project roles?  What are the permission schemes?  Do you need to be added to an internal Jira group.  There's a lot of variables here.
