New bug - unable to MOVE subtask to a new Parent.

Admin August 19, 2019

Seems like the search field not working in Move Issue window.

Search field of "Select a new parent issue for this subtask." does not output any results.

In attempt to manually type in new parent I get:

"The issue key "...." does not exist"

Using Chrome latest on 64 Win desktop.

You can still enter the Issue key and proceed to update the parent. Not all issues are shown in the picker. Make sure destination project has sub-task type enable.

Thanks, I understand about the picker.

However, as I mentioned - it does not matter what value I put into that field, I am unable to proceed because I always get this message "The issue key "<whatever I type here>" does not exist".

Is the new parent under same project?

Admin August 19, 2019

Yes. I only have one project.

Turns out issue keys are case sensitive while changing the parent.

Make sure you enter the issue key in capital letters.

eg: ht-3 wont work but HT-3 will

Hopefully this works

Yep - seems like this is it! Thanks!
