Jira automatically creates countless "Epic Name" fields when open tasks

Hello,

We have made a Jira update to version 8.13.5 and now have the problem that Jira creates a new user-defined field "Epic Name" and "Rank" each time an epic task is called up. These fields are then blocked. We now have 63 pages full of new fields within a few days.

How can I prevent the new creation and delete the old fields?

That sounds like a pretty serious problem that you should report directly to Atlassian Support.
