I recently noticed that I have a huge number of mysql-bin.xxxxxx files (located in mysql/db directory) since 2011 up until now equating to 1.1G each which is occupying a lot of space. My question is, is it safe to purge it (using the proper method)? or is there a way in JIRA (also using confluence) to purging these files?
Please kindly advise. Thanks.
I think this is just part of how mysql works. I recall there was info on a mysql page about dealing with this?
I know how to deal with it, but want to be sure before i went ahead with the proper purge method.
I couldn't find any kind of documentation from Atlassian on this matter.
