How to report on team members and their performance

Andy Allison June 25, 2019

Hi there, we work using Kanban and do not currently make time estimates, which is currently what all the articles I have read refer to.

How can I generate a report to see how many tickets/issues each member of my team is getting through in a month, or year, or other time period? I would also like to be able to identify those tickets/issues that took a long period of time so I can evaluate why.

Hello Andy,

You could give a try to Worklogs - Time Reports for Jira. To achieve "see how many tickets/issues each member of my team is getting through in a month, or year, or other time period", you will need to make the following settings on Worklogs page (accessible from Jira or project sidebar):

- set members of your team in User or Group select

- select time period in the Date range

- set Group by to Issues

- set Period grouping to None

You could also set Categorize by to None (issues) and Group by to None, to identify those tickets/issues that took a long period of time.

After you do this, you should be able to answer your questions. You can also Export it to XLSX (in the right corner). Let me know if this helps

Best,

Paweł

Hello @Andy Allison

The out of the box capabilities of Jira cloud are not very advance when it comes to reporting.

But still, you can make sure you two highly effective reports

- Two dimensional filter

And control chart

If you plan to use time logging on issues and then getting reports based on time logged per user etc then go for following paid plugins

Thanks @Tarun Sapra for your response, I have set up a two dimension filter as a start and am going to look at adding a control chart also!
