How to highlight a VIP customer, making a customer standout from the rest

Would like to use some form of VIP customer attribute to see readily in a report or on a dashboard an outstanding issue with a VIP customer.  

Need to also create someform of a notification if customer emails to service desk this is a VIP customer or non-VIP customer.

Is it possible to see all current information in any JIRA application for a specific customer

Usually you would use some crm add-on for JIRA/JSD - I know e.g. Insight from Riada (see marketplace.atlassian.com) which can then also automatically set some attributes to the request based on the reporter user and the linked information from the crm add-on. 

But just checked it: Insight is only for server. I guess https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/nl.avisi.jira.plugins.relations-for-jira/cloud/overview should do the job too ;)

Thank you, I believe this or some form of add in will cover the reporting aspect I was looking to solve.  

My next hurdle is a form of notification, something like a specific ring tone for your phone/tablet, or a pop-up like hangouts/facebook messenger on your desktop.

I'm looking to ensure a VIP customer stands out from John Q. CRM

How about giving a special queue to your VIP customers based on the attribute you set before? You could also try to flag the issue automatically or do something similar. If you want to have desktop notifications you find e.g. https://www.cloudpipes.com/integrations/desktop/jira - never used it though...
