How do I order by creation date year?

I am doing an advance search of my issues. I want to order by the creation date year. Can this be done? If so, how?

Hi Rex,

If you add ORDER BY created ASC to your JQL query, the results are ordered from oldest to newest issues. (Or click on the column containing the creation date, which also orders the results).

But I guess you mean some other type of sorting as you specifically mention sorting on creation date year, but I'm not sure what you exactly mean by that? Can you maybe add an example?
