How do I make gadgets in a shared dashboard viewable?

I created a dashboard and added multiple gadgets. The underlying filters have been shared and the dashboard has been shared. Users can view the dashboard page, but the gadgets all show errors instead of the corresponding charts. How do I ensure they can see the charts?

Hi Jeannine,

It sounds like the users do not have permissions to view the issues that are returned by the filter via the "Browse Project" permission.  An user needs to have the filter shared with them to have access to the filter directly and then also needs permission to the issues returned by the query to see the data associated with those issues.  Gadgets that users do not have permissions to the data returned by the gadget will not be displayed to them.
