Strangely, in our current system Original Estimate field is set as number field:

That's extremely uncomfortable for my team, please, advise what should I do now.

 

P.S.:
I can't remove the current one, because it may affect other managers

Hello,

It means someone created this field. Do you use this field instead of the Timetracking field in all screens? If so, you just first find out, what is stored in this field and then update the Original estimate field from the Timetracking field with new values.
