How Issues that were in status closed before closing the sprint can move to the next sprint?

Hi,

I found 143 issues in the current active sprint that with status "Close". This status moved to status closed before I closed the previous sprint so how it possible that they moved to the current active sprint?

I filtered according to the next query: "Sprint=25 and  status = Closed AND status changed to Closed BEFORE startOfWeek() ".

What column were they in on the board when you ended the sprint?

What do you mean by column? those issues was in the section of sprint 5 before  I closed sprint 5.

Go to the board from which you created the sprint.  You'll see the issues grouped into columns.  I suspect your "section" means "column", but I am not sure.
