How can I create an epic workflow according to the issues linked to it?

I would like to have the epic with "In Progress" status if at lease one issue that is linked to it is with status "In Progress" or "closed" (or other)

and I would like the epic to close when all the issues linked to it are closed.

Any idea how?

What is the relationship between an issue and an epic? parent??

Thanks,

Michal.

You should look into the JIRA Script Runner plugin for that.

Thanks Olivier.

Can you elaborate about the function/s I should use?

Hi Michal (Michal) and Olivier,

I had exactly this issue at Twitter. I've detailed how we addressed this in Understanding Cycle Time of JIRA Epics.

May be of use in your scenario.
