EPIC not showing up in JIRA Active Sprint

abhijeet.mahajan April 25, 2018

We have multiple projects sharing the epics. And the active sprints have their swimlanes configured to be grouped by epic.

Looks like 'shared' epics doesn't show up.

Example :

  • Project - A  (PA-01. Scrum board for this project)
  • Project - B  (PA-02. Scrum board for this project)
  • Epic e1 has following children
    • PA-01.1 (belongs to the PA-01 Project and it will be tracked on that board)
    • PA-02.1 (belongs to the PA-02 Project and it will be tracked on that board)

If I clear the grouping of columns by epic both the stories show up in my active sprint.      But if we add the group by epic then they disappear along with epic from the active sprint.

We want to display the epic groups. Its much more cleaner. Is that possible ?

One alternative for us create two epics and handle them separately inside their own projects instead of 'sharing'. But if there are better suggestions it will save us some time.

Hi @abhijeet.mahajan

You can include the shared epic in both the projects' boards. You will have to modify the boards' filter query to also include the shared epic..
