Display subtasks separately/independently from parent

Currently when a task on our scrum board has subtasks, it creates a whole separate section for itself that almost looks like a separate sprint. I want to just see all tasks and subtasks the same, as independent tickets to be moved on their own and ranked independently. I do not want to have a whole separate sub-sprint for each task with subtasks.

I have found lots of questions asking to do the opposite of this, but none asking for this.

Is this possible? If so, how?

I found it! Apparently I just needed to turn off "swimlanes".

You can just run a JQL on search issues e.g. Project = 'Example Project' and it will list all issues.
