Hi @SUVARNA Dixit

You can do this using the Admin tool "External System Import" - you need to upload one issue that contains all the options. As the options aren't already in the field, it will just add them from the upload.

---

You need to create the field first, and then add the first option.

Next, create a CSV file...

  • In the first column, put Summary - this is mandatory on imports
  • Then, create 59 other columns with the same column title - the name of your custom field. It's important that the columns all have the exact same title, as you will map these all to the one field during the import

The CSV might look something like this...

Summary List Field List Field List Field List Field   List Field
 Task 1  Option 2 Option 3 Option 4  Option 5  Option 6

---

Once the CSV is created, you can import it:

  1. Go to Settings (cog icon in top-right) > System
  2. Select External System Import from the left-hand menu
  3. Select CSV
  4. Select your CSV source file, then click Next
  5. Choose a Project to import your issue into (ideally a Project with the field on the screen), then click Next
  6. Map Summary > Summary, and List Field > your field, then click Next
  7. Select Begin Import

---

Let us know if this works for you!

I don't recommend adding more than about 3000 options to a Jira select or multiselect custom field. Certainly on-prem performance is not great with that.
