I had a team request a Project with default workflow Scrum Software Development. Now they wish the project issue type workflow to be Kanban. Nothing has been entered into the project (no issues, etc.) Can this be done easily or should I just deleted the project and recreated?
If your using Jira 7.4 or above you have kanban backlog version.(https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-4-x-release-notes-902079634.html?_ga=2.232602911.1214476760.1540802666-2119825796.1524817237)
Hope changing the workflow won't cause any trouble as we have both kanban and scrum option while creating boards.
And one thing check with the issue types the need to be added for Kanban project type.
Cheers
Hi @Andre Wiggins there's no need to recreate the project as you will loose every issue and configuration. Just create another workflow with issue types and try until they feel confortable. The issues will remain and just the config will change.
Cheers,
David

Hey Andre,
It should be easy enough to fix in your current project.
The only difference should be that you will need to create Kanban boards instead of Scrum boards.
To create a Kanban board just follow this guide: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/tutorials/creating-your-agile-board
You may also need to make some changes to the workflow to meet their needs, so here is the guide on that as well: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira064/configuring-workflow-720412524.html
Hope this helps,
Tyler
